This is a fairy tale about a girl who has faced a lot of sorrows and hardships in life..but still does'nt give up...she knows that life is magical and in the end...All will be well...so read on to know the secret of happiness in this magical story about life and love.

Once upon a time, many years ago, in a small village named Chandarpur,there lived a little girl called Khushi. There was nothing special about khushi other than the fact that Kushi was a happy girl who loved to smile and make others around her happy too. No matter what the situation, khushi was happy.
All the people of Chandarpur were curious about this quality of the little girl. They thought that  what was so wonderful about this village or her life to make Khushi so happy. Because you see, Khushi was a poor girl. She lived with her old father and evil stepmother and steps isiter near a little well at the outskirts of Chandanpur. Her evil stepmother treated kushi very badly and made her work very hard day and night. For all her hardwork, khushi was given only a small bowl of watery meat soup and a  stale bread! She slept in the barn on a bed made up of hay. But in spite of all her hardships ,khushi was happy,and this fact made her stepmother and the villagers of Chandarpur  very curious indeed!
In reality,Khushi did not know any of this,and had no idea that she had made the town people so curious or upset.All that she knew was to follow the secret and do her work. Yes,khushi had a secret.
The secret of happiness which was told to her by her fairy god mother.One day while sewing her stepsister’s prom dress,khushi dozed off.She was so tired  of all the hard work she had done the entire day that she had been very drowsy, but her stepmother had warned her with dire consequences to finish off the sewing  tonite,so that her stepsister could look pretty for the prom the next day.But poor Khushi ,could not continue with the seweing and had fallen fast asleep.
The next thing she knew was that she was in a strange land. A wonderland. Beautifully illuminated with bright white light which was pleasing to the eyes. All around her she saw huge mountains, green trees with ripe colourful fruits and flowers. Beautiful, clean blue stream of water flowing down the mountains. Birds were chirping in the bright blue sky and a gentle cool breeze was blowing everywhere..Khushi was spell bound with all this beauty around her.
Khushi walked a little ahead and there she saw many tiny people. Tiny people ,who were of her height but were grown ups.Most of the men had long ,white flowing beards and were wearing the most peculiar clothes. Bright coloured pointed hats, funny little pants and a coat. Even the women had worn bright garments and looked like plump little jelly beans.They were looking very busy running here and there,but one thing that was striking about them was that they were all happy. All of them had a smile on their face and were singing or whistleing and looked jolly.Khushi fell in love with this wonderland and loved the happy vibes she got from there.
“ Oh! How lovely this place is .Such happy and nice little people live here! How I wish I could stay here for ever and never go back! I would do anything to be as happy as them!”
No sooner had Khushi said these words, there came a bright light and the most beautiful lady with lovely silky golden hair and fair transclucent skin,with a sweet smile on her face wearing the most exquisite pink gown materialized in front of her!Khushi was startled and just kept staring at the lady with her wide innocent eyes and mouth open!
Then the magical lady spoke to Khushi. “ hello dear khushi! I am your Fairy God Mother and know about all your hopes and desires.I know all about your hardships from your evil stepmother too.Listen to me carefully. Today I will tell you a secret and if you follow it in your life you will be happy for ever!” She then bent down and whispered the secret in khushi’s ears. Khushi smiled. Once she finished telling her the secret ,fairy god mother disappeared and so did the wonderland all the people in it.And khushi once again found herself in her little barn,with the needle and thread and her step sister’s prom dress.But from that day onwards,khushi was never the same. She was happy and looked content and satisfied.Even the thought that it might all have been a dream, did not dampen khushi’s spirits.Khushi went about doing her work ,with a smile on her face and a cheerful tune on her lips.
